FEATURING The Robotic m6 MLS Laser From Cutting Edge Laser

We have some exciting news to share with you! We are proud to be the first and only Chiropractic facility in Georgetown and Horry counties to offer one of the newest, latest Class IV Laser technologies on the market. After extensive research, including in-office trials with several reputable companies, we are excited to offer you exclusive access to the M6 MLS laser, designed by Cutting Edge Laser Technologies. During a trial in which we tested different Class IV lasers on our toughest cases, those patients who did not respond to any previous treatment, 73% of those patients saw a remarkable improvement of a 64% reduction in difficulties after only four (4) treatments! Of these test patients, 18% had noticeable improvement (>20%), and only 9% had insignificant improvement (<20%). Recently, in a similar trial conducted at Bellingham Family Medicine in Statesville, NC, twenty-six (26) patients were treated only twice, with 84% showing significant improvement (>50%) and an average decrease in pain of 79.95% for multiple conditions ranging from joint pain to hernias.

The M6 MLS is a unique, state-of-the-art laser that is fully robotic and uses a patented method of simultaneous continuous and pulsed light emissions. These factors allow it to diminish inflammation and edema, stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation, and provide an analgesic effect to reduce pain, often in as few as 3-4 treatments. Please see the enclosed brochure for other great benefits.

M6 MLS laser therapy has been proven effective in treating many types of disorders in the muscular and skeletal systems. Laser therapy can help to treat sprains, strains, degenerative neuromuscular diseases, joint pain, inflammatory conditions due to circulatory stasis, reduced lymphatic drainage or trauma, superficial lesions, as well as bruising, fractures and burns. M6 MLS therapy is non-invasive and can be applied directly to the area of concern. There are a limited number of contraindications. Please speak to one of our specialists at Grand Strand Health and Wellness to learn more!

From day one it has always been our mission to invest in the best technology and people in order to get you the greatest results possible. MLS Laser Therapy FAQs

M6 laser

Laser therapy is a therapeutic treatment that uses light energy (photons) for tissue healing and pain reduction. The light energy penetrates deeply into damaged cells and stimulates cellular activity. As a result of exposure to the laser, the cells of tendons, ligaments, and muscles repair themselves. Light energy enters damaged cells and stimulates inter-cellular activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of the damaged cells. Once the cells recover, the healing process is complete.

MLS stands for “Multi-wave Lock System.” MLS is the name of the FDA-approved technology that utilizes a patented combination of unique wavelengths. The two wavelengths work together to deliver superior results compared to other kinds of laser therapy.

MLS Therapy uses two wavelengths to overcome the limits of traditional laser therapy. Continuous laser emissions act fast on inflammation, stimulating blood and lymphatic circulation and inducing fast re-absorption of fluid build-up. However, they pain relief is only a secondary result, and is diminished after reducing the inflammatory process. The pulsed laser emissions from the MLS, on the other hand, have a practically immediate effect on pain. They are able to induce analgesia (pain relief) by interfering with the very transmission of the pain impulse to the higher brain centers, but they are less effective at treating inflammation and edema.

Until recently, there have been only pulsed light lasers that control swelling and continuous light lasers that control pain, but no laser system that does both. Current traditional laser therapy provides partial treatment (at best) by reducing inflammation or pain, but never both at the same time. MLS Therapy is able to induce strong anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, and analgesic effects simultaneously and within a short period of time. LLLT cannot achieve these results due to the limitations of using one or two wavelengths that are not synchronized. The patented control system that generates the MLS pulse synchronizes the emissions to achieve results previously unattainable. Thanks to this characteristic synchronization, the various therapeutic effects not only take place at the same time but reciprocally reinforce each other.

MLS Therapy has been developed and tested following a strict course of biomedical and clinical research. The effectiveness of the combination of emissions making up the MLS laser was initially tested over nearly three decades of world-class research through in vitro tests on cellular cultures, then in vivo on animals, and finally by means of controlled clinical trials run by major state-of-the-art health organizations for treating traumatic and degenerative painful diseases.

MLS Laser Therapy is a painless treatment that only takes a few minutes. Some patients have stated they feel a comfortable, warm sensation in the area being treated, while other patients usually don’t feel the laser. There is no pain, heat, redness, or swelling during or after treatment.

Most patients experience positive results in 1 to 3 treatments, with the average course of treatment being 7 to 10 sessions. Any swelling is greatly reduced and there is a rapid relief of pain. Acute conditions usually subside quickly, typically within one phase of treatments, and chronic conditions can be controlled with regular treatments. The effects of MLS Laser Therapy are cumulative: expect to see improvement as you proceed through your treatment plan. It is critical that once you start, you complete the course of treatments recommended by your doctor or symptoms are likely to reoccur.

  • The MLS laser is used for symptomatic treatment, and is contraindicated where analgesia may mask progressive pathology (as in conditions including certain cancers), and should not be used when the clinician would normally avoid the use of any other analgesia in order to retain the beneficial aspects of pain.
  • Class IV lasers are potentially harmful to the retina, though accidental retinal damage is unlikely. Both patient and practitioner must wear laser safety eyewear appropriate for the NIR wavelength.
  • Do not use MLS laser therapy over a pregnant uterus. It may be used on the pregnant patient in addition to other treatments.
  • The laser should not be used over the thyroid gland.
  • It is conceivable that laser-mediated vasodilatation (expansion of blood vessels) may worsen a hemorrhage.
  • Laser therapy is contraindicated for patients on certain drugs.

This type of laser is a state-of-the-art class IV infrared cold laser with a peak power of 25 watts. MLS Therapy Lasers are FDA-cleared, patented via the US Patent Office, and compliant with CE Quality Systems. It is the only laser with dual wavelengths that are synchronized in such a way as to achieve better results in a much shorter period when compared to other laser therapies.

The laser light will penetrate between 3-5 cm based on a variety of factors including skin thickness and target area. The effects of the light are often transmitted deeper into the body, mirroring some of the same effects of lasers that penetrate deeper than 5 cm.
